The concepts behind the Palamedes Toolbox are described in great detail in our text Psychophysics: A Practical Introduction which is in it's second edition. The text also describes how to use the Palamedes routines. Note that the toolbox itself also contains sufficient information to be able to use it: all user-end Palamedes routines contain information on their function and usage. Demo scripts in the PalamedesDemos folder demonstrate usage of the code.
